2018 Sponsorship of Team Senter-Merida (Taiwan)

In 2018, Bryton continued to serve as the designated cycling computer provider for Team Senter-Merida. Since officially becoming a sponsor of this Taiwanese powerhouse last year, Bryton has witnessed the team’s riders consistently deliver outstanding performances and bring honor to Taiwan. With the integration of the Rider 530 into their setup, the athletes are equipped with the precision tools needed to elevate their performance to new heights.

Introduction to Team Senter-Merida

Established in mid-May 1997, Team Senter-Merida has long been recognized as one of the premier cycling teams in Taiwan. Serving as a cradle for national team members, the squad has secured numerous accolades for both local and national prestige. The ultimate goal of Team Senter-Merida is to expand its influence beyond Asia and compete on the global stage.

Outstanding Achievements and International Athletes

In recent years, the Kaohsiung-based cycling team has cultivated a new generation of world-class talent, including:

  • Huang Ting-ying: Secured two silver medals at the 2007 Junior World Championships (Mexico) and broke a world record.

  • Wu Po-hung: Won the gold medal in the Omnium at the 2008 Asian Cycling Championships (Nara, Japan).

  • Hsu Pei-chun: Earned one silver and two bronze medals at the 2008 Asian Junior Cycling Championships (Nara, Japan).

  • Lin Ssu-ping: Captured the gold medal in the Women’s Sprint at the 2007 Asian Junior Cycling Championships (Thailand).

Due to their exceptional performances, these top-tier athletes were selected by the UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) to undergo advanced specialized training at the World Cycling Centre (WCC) in Switzerland.
